During the course of my glaucoma and diabetic eye challenge I have met with several eye consultants and I can confidently and honestly state that Doctor Avi Kulkarni is a very competent and professional glaucoma surgeon. His distinct approach makes his patients relax as the see someone on third side to redeem a loosing eye. He also places a high premium in analysing to the minute detail causes that can be worked on to improve his patient vision. I will highly recommend him to anyone who has glaucoma challenge

Mr Kulkarni performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes; he was always punctual, highly professional, very personable and clearly knows his subject matter extraordinarily well. On both occasions, in theatre, he took the time to explain everything he was doing, every step of the way. At every 'follow up', he was interested, engaging and very clearly interested in ensuring the best possible outcomes. In summary one can have absolute confidence in Mr Kulkarni's professional abilities and his costs compare well with his 'peer alternatives'. It was also of note that his admin support staff were well organised, prompt, efficient and friendly. Overall, an excellent experience.

Mr Kulkarni explained suitable lens options for a cataract operation, recommended the one to provide the best outcome and I can now use a computer and drive without glasses. He and his PA Fran were most helpful making the process smooth and easy with good post-op care including calling to make sure all was well between the op and check up.

Mr Kulkarni has always been super clear and reassuring with an excellent caring manner. Always get the feeling he is treating the “whole person” which is important as eye surgery for many is very worrying. But has always been reassuring, explaining things clearly and advising on what is involved and what other treatments have been considered. Despite being nervous about the procedure he could not have done more to put me at ease and help me make informed decisions.
